How LeRoy Mobley Found Healing and is Spreading Love to the World Through Music

One’s journey through life is never going to be a walk in the park, and more often than not, there will be stumbles along the way that will bring us to the ground. In these times of trouble, all one needs is someone or something that will help them get back on their feet. In LeRoy Mobley’s case, music helped him get back on his feet, and he is now wanting to do the same for others.

LeRoy Mobley is an up-and-coming singer, songwriter, musician, and actor from West Hollywood, California. A multi-talented artist with quite the origin story, LeRoy is here to inspire people and spread love and positivity through the power of music.

Having faced many hardships and internal struggles in his life, LeRoy is someone who truly knows what it feels like to be hopeless and at rock bottom. Luckily, he was able to overcome it, and he is now on a mission to help people get through strife with his music. Starting with his debut single, “Better Together,” LeRoy is bound to release songs that are filled with words of hope and encouragement.

LeRoy was born in Manila, Philippines to general contractor and Vietnam War Veteran father Leroy Mobley Jr., and registered nurse and Gulf War Veteran mother Sherinita Ann Rush. With parents coming from vastly different backgrounds, the young LeRoy grew up in a unique household in Brandon, Florida.

At age 11, LeRoy had his first encounter with music, after Mrs. Cunningham, one of his teachers at Middleton Middle School encouraged him to try out singing. Thanks to this encouragement, the young LeRoy discovered his many different talents, including playing trumpet, guitar, dancing salsa and competitive latin ballroom, and even acting. While working on these many talents, he also was able to finish college, graduating from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in Spanish.

However, things did not look up for LeRoy for a long time. As he entered his 20s, many obstacles came into his life, with chronic depression being one of them. Aside from battling depression, he was also wrestling with other problems, including sex addiction and suicide ideation. From performing and sharing his talents to the world, life suddenly became bleak from LeRoy, as his thoughts started to overwhelm him.

Luckily, on December 28, 2010,  LeRoy Mobley encountered a “transformational miracle” that changed his life forever.  Using music to cope through the process, he was able to overcome his depression and addictions, and eventually, he was able to get his life back on track. Thanks to his first love, music, LeRoy was able to get out of the dark and see the light once again.

Eventually, LeRoy decided to transition from singing in churches, schools, and for (girl)friends, into mainstream Raw-Pop-R&B, taking inspiration from legends in music, including John Legend, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Coldplay, and Stevie Wonder. He then made his debut as a solo artist in 2016 with 50+ depression-slaying original songs, and then releasing his debut single, “Better Together” back in 2018.

LeRoy Mobley is currently performing in house concerts and is soon aiming to perform in sold-out concerts and music festivals worldwide. A witness to the power of music, LeRoy is soon going to take over the world with his music, aiming to inspire people to overcome their obstacles like he did.
